We Bought a Bus!

It’s not longer a secret – we bought a bus!

It all started last June at Bonnaroo, We drove in on Wednesday and was parked next to an amazing “hippie bus.” It was a 1989 Ford School Bus transformed into an RV. We met the owners, Tammy and Bob. They lived only 10 minutes away from Bonnaroo and Tammy had been to every single Bonnaroo.

They gave us a grand tour, and let us autograph it. The most notable aspect is that everyone they meet signs the bus. The inside and outside is filled with quotes and signatures from Roovians from around the world.

After Bonnaroo ended, I added Tammy on Facebook. I’d planned to keep in touch so that we could try to park near the bus in 2018. Only a few months after I added her, I saw a post listing the bus for sale on eBay. Tammy and Bob were moving, and parting with the famous bus.

Daniel and I joked about how cool it would be to own it. On the last day of the auction, I decided to put in a bid. I didn’t think much about it, since it already had 34 bids, and eight hours left. I honestly expected some eBay professional to swoope in a buy it at the last minute.

No one else ended up bidding, and we won! We were actually at a Portugal. The Man show when we found out.

Needless to say, we love it! We’ve already met so many people through the bus, and we can’t wait for Bonnaroo 2018!
